YEONGAM, South Korea, July 26, 2026 — HD Hyundai Samho announced today that it has signed a contract with Washington United Terminals (WUT) to supply four port cranes.

This project will modernize the U.S. terminal operated by WUT, a subsidiary of HMM. 

Under the turnkey agreement, HD Hyundai Samho will handle design, manufacturing, transportation, and commissioning for two quay cranes and two yard cranes, with final delivery by 2028.

The project unites South Korea’s key heavy industries—shipbuilding, port logistics, and steel—by utilizing high-quality steel from POSCO.

Since 1985, HD Hyundai Samho has delivered 20 cranes to major U.S. ports. 
This latest order further strengthens the company’s foothold in the U.S. port equipment market amid rising demand for supply chain stability.
